A stellium in a birth chart is when three or more planets and/or luminaries (the Sun & Moon) fall in the same sign or house. Stelliums tend to amplify and bring attention to specific areas of life. This especially applies to house stelliums.

But what happens when we relocate? Well, if you have a stellium, or multiple stelliums in your birth chart, those planets will cluster in a different birth chart house in your relocated chart, thus activating different themes and areas of life than before. I have seen this play out for myself and many of my clients, who have a stellium in their birth chart.

Real-life examples (names are omitted for anonymity)

1. Myself-I have a giant 11th House stellium in Scorpio in my birth chart (I was born in Brooklyn, NY). In Madrid, Spain, my relocated ascendant is in Aries, which means I’ve got a Scorpio-ruled 8th House here, and so all of those Scorpio placements have migrated to my 8th House. This stellium shift has been one of the most noticeable aspects of my astrocartography experience here in Spain. Back in NYC, I was SO social, to the point of enmeshment. I often relied on others for advice about major decisions instead of trusting my own intuition. I was so open and trusting, I truly thought most people had good intentions. Now, in Spain, I’m a far more private person who needs a lot more alone time. I don’t even attribute it much to my past experiences. I just feel a lot more introspective and connected to my intuition.

2. A friend and client of mine has a 4th House stellium in Aries in her birth chart. She also lives in Spain, and for her, that stellium shifted to her 1st House. When we did her reading, she expressed how she learned a great deal about herself and really started to embody her values. She is also building a sustainable living community in Northwestern Spain, where that same stellium moves to her 2nd House-very fitting for starting a business that aligns with your values!

3. Another client I worked with recently has a big 12th House stellium in Virgo in her birth chart, and that stellium moved to her 1st House once she relocated to Washington state. She described feeling more confident and motivated there.

4. Another client had her stellium shift from the 8th House to the 7th House when she moved to NYC. She has the Sun there, but also Mars and Saturn, so two malefics. She went through a very difficult relationship there and found that many important life lessons stemmed from her relationship.

Birth chart stelliums are a big part of why it’s so crucial to look into relocated charts and not just the ACG lines and parans. As I’ve said again and again, it’s both important and necessary to read astrocartography holistically.

Descriptions of the different house stelliums

1st House stellium: You could attract a lot of attention and be thrusted into the spotlight regardless of wanting it or not. This is because having a stellium here puts the focus on you, your identity, how you look, and your sense of self. At some point, you could face an identity crisis or simply a shift. One thing to look out for is being too self-centered.

2nd House stellium: This house governs finances, material resources, how you make money, and personal values. People with 2nd House stelliums could find themselves very focused on attaining financial security and stability, even to the point of their detriment. They are often gifted with innate wisdom on how to spend and manage their money. If benefics (Venus & Jupiter) are placed here, they could naturally attract financial abundance and have a strong sense of self-worth. They could also have strong principles and values that they prefer to adhere to strictly.

3rd House stellium: Those who have a third house stellium are often blessed with strong communication and/or writing skills, being that this is the house that rules communication and the mind. School and learning can be major areas of focus throughout their lives. However, they could be guilty of wanting to absorb facts and tidbits of knowledge but shy away from diving deeper into specific topics or areas of study, which we see more of with 9th House stelliums. The third house also speaks to our relationships and connections within our local community and immediate environment, so having one in a relocated chart could be a major indicator of integrating well in one’s local environment.

4th House stellium: Having a 4th House stellium often indicates a major focus on home, family, domestic life, ancestry, and setting roots. Having multiple planets in this house could give us clues about a person’s childhood and the kind of environment they grew up in. Having malefics (Mars & Saturn) or Chiron placed here often points to a challenging, even conflict-ridden childhood. The planets in the 4th House in a relocated chart, as well as the IC sign, can reveal a great deal about what the person associates with this location and their lived experiences there.

5th House stellium: The fifth house is about anything that has to do with creation-creative outlets and passions, performing arts, children, dating, risk/pleasure activities, and our vices, all of which come from the expression of our personal desires. When we see a 5th House stellium in a relocated chart, it could indicate that this person’s creativity gets “activated” or that this location is one to be enjoyed to the fullest extent.

6th House stellium: The 6th House in astrology rules our daily routine, work, health, and acts of service. It represents the physically tangible area of life. Those with 6th House stelliums tend to be hardworking and action-oriented, with a strong desire to exceed expectations. Many 6th House people also work in fields such as counseling, healing, life coaching, etc. In a relocated chart, a 6th House stellium could point to working a lot, and establishing a healthier routine and lifestyle.

7th House stellium: Relationships with others, specifically 1-1 relationships, are likely major life themes. The development of your identity is often intertwined with close relationships you have had with others. You could learn significant life lessons from your romantic or business partnerships, especially if you have malefics (Mars & Saturn) or Chiron placed here.

8th House stellium: Introspection, emotional depth, intimacy, and vulnerability are all major 8th House themes. The key word here is merging-merging souls, finances, assets, crises, resources. The energy here is not at all light, but it can provide vital breakthroughs and profound realizations. Some people (including myself at times-I have an 8th House stellium in my relocated chart in Madrid) report feeling “hidden” or simply more introverted.

9th House stellium: Travel, wisdom, higher learning, belief system, and expansion are all associated with the 9th House. People with 9th House stelliums are typically eager to learn and grow, they are on an endless quest for knowledge and insight. Life is treated as a journey and learning experience. However, the 9th House also rules dogma and ideologies, so this house can also activate a certain degree of groupthink or strong, unwavering opinions.

10th House stellium: Career, public image, and legacy are central to the 10th House. People with 10th House stelliums wish to influence and leave an impact on others in some way. With this can also come a sensitivity to how one is perceived by others. Recognition could matter a lot to you, or you might just get noticed more easily than others. If the moon is placed in this stellium, it might be hard for you to keep your emotions hidden.

11th House stellium: People with this stellium often make connections naturally. They could have many friends scattered around the world from different walks of life. Enmeshment could be a big theme here, too. Moreover, they can be quite idealistic and have big dreams and visions about the future and what life should be like. They have an innate understanding that bringing about change in society must be a collective effort.

12th House stellium: The 12th House represents what society wants to ignore. It is the house of the unseen, the unconscious mind, mental health, the metaphysical world, and endings. 12th Housers are typically deep thinkers with a broad understanding of life. They are often the first to advocate for the oppressed and marginalized groups. Some of them are deeply in-tune with the spiritual realm.

However, I’ve been wanting to share this piece for the longest time, as it introduces a larger project that I’m looking to start soon, one where I give my clients the opportunity to share, in detail, their experiences of living on different Astrocartography lines.

I figured I’d start this new Substack series by talking about my own experience living on a Moon line in Madrid, Spain, for nearly seven years.

A brief description of Moon lines

While the Sun’s energy represents a more outward expression of ourselves and our identity, Lunar energy is much more inward and focused on what we’re experiencing internally. In a birth chart, the moon sign and house placement reveal a person’s deepest emotional needs and the way they handle situations on a subconscious level.

On a more general level, the Moon in Astrology is associated with themes including emotional support, closeness to others, tenderness, care, nurturance, intuition, feminine energy, and fertility.

In general, a lot of people living on these lines report heightened creativity and intuition, but also feel very overwhelmed by emotions.

My own experience

I live on my Moon DC line here in Madrid, which brings the lunar energy into my relationships, close connections, and interactions with others. One thing that’s for certain is that I’ve been able to truly connect to my values here in the sense that I’m a lot less superficial and able to cut through the fluff to understand and know what truly matters to me. My natal Moon is in Libra, which is tied to having a strong sense of justice, and so perhaps living on one of my Moon lines has really helped me tap into this sense of justice and what I should be prioritizing.

How the Moon DC line drives a client-based business

My 10th House Moon has really shown up here as well, not so much socially, but more in my teaching and client work. Moon in the 10th House means you tend to wear and share your emotions publicly, especially in professional settings. This can be challenging when society expects you to be super poised and, dare I say, robotic in the workplace. I’ve worked with so many Astrology/Astrocartography clients and English language students 1-1, and this has allowed me to fully express and be the real me. It all makes sense given that I’m on my Moon DC line and my Moon in my relocated chart here is in the 7th House, which rules over 1-1 relationships. I’ve had so many people (especially business coaches) tell me that I should break away from the 1-1 sessions and just sell a course, but that’s not the point of my work, nor is it aligned with my natal promise here in Madrid. I’m open to creating a course, but the objective behind it wouldn’t be for it to replace the 1-1s, because those are what I know have the most impact.

How it activated my love life

In some of my other articles, I’ve mentioned how I actually dated three men in total, whom I met on this line, which crosses through/near Spain, Morocco, and Portugal. This summer, I’m going to marry the one I met in Spain! It actually really tracks for me to have a more active romantic life here, especially since my DC angle in my natal chart is in the sign of Cancer, which is ruled by the Moon. Moving or traveling to a line associated with the planet that rules over your DC angle in your birth chart often increases the likelihood of romantic union. For example, if your natal DC angle is ruled by Libra, moving to a Venus line (especially Venus DC line), could potentially be good for romance.

How it can blur boundaries just like Neptune

In astrology, Neptune is usually the planet that people refer to when discussing issues with boundaries. This is because Neptune is associated with dreaminess, blurred boundaries, and a lack of clarity. However, we cannot forget that the Moon merges in a similar way that Neptune blurs. Lunar energy can feel so empathetic and sensitive that being on a Moon line can sometimes make us feel as if we are suffering vicariously through those close to us. I can 100% attest that this has been part of my lived experience here, and it is definitely the most challenging thing about living on a Moon line in my opinion. In essence, you tend to feel everything very deeply and intensely, and if you don’t have the bandwidth to do the work on yourself to regularly cleanse your energy, then it’s gonna feel unbearable. Things that have helped me include herbal work, Reiki, NLP, SRT therapy, EFT tapping, talk therapy, brain dumps, yoga, and dance.

How it sparked my creativity

The ideas for Your Stellar Truth came so naturally here. My artistic abilities have definitely improved, as has my writing. The issue with the Moon line, though, is overwhelm. Sometimes living here can feel so heavy, even paralyzing, that I find it difficult to really hone in on my ideas and finish what I’ve started.

How it changed my social life

My friendships here in Spain feel very supportive and meaningful, at least for the most part. I’ve learned to be more raw, real, and vulnerable with the people closest to me. However, I definitely feel more introverted here than back home in NYC, and I largely attribute this to having an 11th House stellium in my birth chart there vs. having an 8th House stellium here. I need a lot more alone time here, rest, and time to recharge and reflect.

Would I recommend living on a Moon line?

To be honest, based on my own experience and those of people I’ve worked with, I’d say it really depends on the person, their moon placement in their birth chart, and the kind of energies they’re looking to bring into their life at the moment. Some people I’ve worked with absolutely hated living on their moon line, whereas some have actually enjoyed it, especially if they work as a therapist, healer, astrologer-any role that requires 1-1 sessions. One thing’s for sure, if the person had their Moon in Scorpio or in the 12th House, a Moon line would probably feel way too heavy and overwhelming. Some Astrocartography lines are overwhelmingly positive or negative, but I would say Moon lines are among those that vary the most when it comes to people’s experiences.

Full Moons & what they represent

A full moon represents a time to purge all that no longer serves us. This is a time of the month when we should go within to get a sense of what we have been feeling and try to investigate the “why” behind it.

Scorpio energy-powerful, intense, and transformative

Scorpio is an intense, deep, strong, and powerful sign associated with transformation, intimacy, sexuality, death, rebirth, breakthroughs, intuition, and emotions.

A full moon in Scorpio is an ideal time to look inward and get off “auto-pilot” to address our deepest emotional thoughts and needs. Not only this, but this full moon in Scorpio can also give us closure and an opportunity to recharge and renew our energy.

Scorpio also forces us to confront our deepest fears, including our shadow side, which is the part of ourselves that we may be ashamed of and reluctant to accept and reveal to others.

The sign of Scorpio feels very deeply and intensely, and this is amplified when the Moon is in Scorpio. This ties into our intuition, because it is only by allowing ourselves to feel and receive signals from our emotions that we can fully gauge what they’re trying to tell us. Scorpio energy compels us to reframe the way we see and deal with our emotions, so that we can turn to them as a source of guidance instead of fearing them and trying to shut them down.

Control is a major Scorpio theme, and while this sign does tend to struggle with control issues, it is also one of the signs that possesses the most self-control. Tap into this energy to be led by your intuition and inner truth to avoid making rash, hasty decisions.

The timing of this Full Moon in Scorpio

This full moon in Scorpio takes place on Beltane (May Day), a Celtic festival that marks the transition from Spring to Summer. This holiday celebrates the return of light, sunshine, rebirth, growth, community, and life itself. The contrast between the Scorpio themes and Beltane posits the question: What do I need to “bury” and leave behind in order for this new life to truly thrive?

As the seasons change, so do we, but those desired changes can only come to fruition when we examine and understand our inner world, which tends to reflect our outer world.

How to interpret this full moon in your birth chart

Look at the Scorpio-ruled house in your birth chart-these are the areas of life where you might be obsessing, overthinking, and needing to let go of something in order to experience more desirable outcomes.

Next, look at the house in your chart that’s ruled by Taurus-this is directly opposite your Scorpio-ruled house. The full moon is calling on us to explore the tensions between the themes represented in both of those houses in your birth chart. This especially relates to what we need to release and where we need to transform our approach. The Taurus-ruled house also reveals what kinds of themes and activities are grounding us in the present moment right now, amidst all the chaos associated with Uranus entering Gemini and the heavy Aries energy we’ve been dealing with.

I moved from New York City to Spain in the summer of 2019. I was almost 26 at the time, and I must say, I really went into it with an open mind. I told myself that I was gonna give it two years to feel it out and see if this was truly a place where I wanted to settle long-term. 7-years later and I’m still here!

Understanding Saturn Return

The infamous Saturn return is an astrological event that takes place for the first time roughly from 27-31 years of age. The age you are when it begins depends on the degree of your natal Saturn. It’s considered a challenging period of life because essentially what’s happening is that Saturn, the planet of lessons, restrictions, patience, and durability, returns to the same sign and house that it was in when you were born. We’ve all got Saturn in our birth chart somewhere, and throughout our lives, but especially during our Saturn return, the themes, topics, lessons, and challenges associated with both our Saturn sign and house placement tend to come up. Experiences can test us a lot. I view it as our true coming of age. People rarely come out of it the same.

Now I want to make it clear that my Saturn return didn’t technically begin until late March of 2020, when Saturn entered Aquarius briefly from March until early July of that year. Saturn did not station in Aquarius long-term until mid-December 2020. So basically, my Saturn return kicked off about 7 months into my move to Spain.

2020 was when everything started to change

Well, surely enough, March 2020 marked a very significant turning point in my life. On the one hand, it marked the start of a very long and strict COVID-19 lockdown in Spain, which brought a lot of uncertainty. This was also the month when I began talking to the man I’m going to marry this year!

2020 as a whole was very challenging. I had spent my first six or so months in Spain building my friend group, and before I knew it, so many of them were moving back to their home countries, and understandably so. I had absolutely no interest in going back, I wanted to “finish what I started”, even if that meant waiting and having to embrace the unknown. I was lucky enough to be able to keep my teaching job at a vocational school until July 2021, so I made the firm decision to stick it out.

Once that job ended, I started teaching English at an elementary school near my apartment at the time. I had never taught such young students before. I was much more used to working with adults and teenagers. As expected, I hated the job so much. In fact, looking back, it was probably the worst place I’ve ever worked at in my entire life. I was overworked, underpaid, and I didn’t like how the staff treated the students.

When summer break arrived, I had it in my mind that under no circumstances would I be working there the following school year. One day, randomly, I was chatting on the phone with one of my best and oldest friends from back home. I was complaining incessantly about my job and wanting to find something else, when all of a sudden, my friend said something along the lines of “my brother has been working for a remote newsletter company, would you be interested in working there?” I immediately jumped at the opportunity, got in contact with him, and by August, I had a new, high-paying job-I was ecstatic.

Expect the unexpected

At first, I really enjoyed working at the newsletter company. I felt it really suited me, given my background in both teaching and journalism. However, over time, the company began acting very unethically, and I grew bored of writing about the same exact topics, over and over, day after day. There was absolutely no room for creativity, growth, or input, and things only got worse as time went on. First, they cut most of our hours in half, and about a year after that, they laid us all off without providing any notice. That wasn’t even the worst part of it all-they deleted all of our work from their webpage, which totally crushed me. Literally hundreds of my newsletters…gone in a flash.

How this all ties in with the themes of my natal Saturn

In my birth chart, I have Saturn in Aquarius in my 2nd House. In astrology, the 2nd House rules over our self-worth, values, finances, possessions, resources, and how we make money. It’s really not surprising that I went through so many challenges regarding work and employment. I also made some of the most money I’ve ever made in my life during that time, and managed to save a lot of it.

What followed after losing my job resonates a lot with my Saturn sign placement. At first, I had a major crash out. Despite not loving the job, it had brought me a level of financial stability that I thought I could never build on my own. The fact that it was remote also gave me a lot more freedom to travel and plan things on my own terms. I was terrified of starting over again from zero in a job market that was becoming increasingly more challenging and competitive, especially in my field given the AI boom.

I had been saying that I wanted to launch some kind of astrology or astrocartography-related project, but while working for the newsletter company, it felt like I could never find the time or motivation to really get it started. I figured it was now or never. I had the free time and some money saved, plus I had been reading astrology and astrocartography for years. Just three months later, I launched Your Stellar Truth, and miraculously, a bunch of private English students started working with me (and they found me!), so I was still able to earn an income while I built my business. I connect this to my Saturn in Aquarius placement, because the 2nd house shows how we make money, and, Aquarius is all about unconventionality, doing things differently, entrepreneurship, and most importantly, working in something that benefits humanity. I started feeling fulfilled and truly happy once I began working with astrology and astrocartography clients regularly. It was then that I realized that I was meant to forge my own path.

Important takeaways + What I wish I knew

Remember that this is just the story of my own Saturn return. I really don’t like to use astrology to fearmonger, and it’s important to understand that we’ve all got Saturn somewhere in our natal chart, and, depending on where it’s placed, the types of hardships and challenges that you endured or will likely endure will vary significantly. In my case, it affected my work, money, and personal values, but that’s certainly not the case for everyone.

My Saturn return was really pretty crazy, and there’s more that took place that I’ve chosen not to share here for personal reasons. Experiencing it during my move abroad made it even more destabilizing, but as a Scorpio stellium with Uranus in her 1st House, I’m all too familiar with instability and unpredictability…

The only regret I have is not launching Your Stellar Truth sooner. I wish I knew at the time that I didn’t need everyone’s approval to do something out of the box and take a risk. Becoming fully self-employed has led me to this conclusion and it’s very empowering.

Lunar eclipses always take place during a full moon, culminating at the exact moment that the Sun and the Moon are opposing each other (180 degrees apart). Full moons occur each month, but for an eclipse to happen, the Full Moon must be positioned near one of the lunar nodes (within roughly 12 degrees of a lunar node). The closer the proximity in degrees, the more significant and potentially transformative the eclipse. In the case of this one, the Sun and Moon will be 4 degrees conjunct the lunar nodes, which is a very tight orb-thus heightening the energetic influence of this astrological event.

The Virgo/Pisces Axis

This marks the fifth eclipse out of seven on the Virgo-Pisces axis occurring between September 17th, 2024 to February 20th, 2027. The last one we experienced took place on September 7th, 2025, and was a full Moon lunar eclipse in Pisces.

The themes of the Virgo-Pisces axis include :

• Control vs. faith

• Wanting order vs. surrendering

• Perfectionism vs. flow

• The metaphysical realm vs. the metaphysical realm

• Logic (mind) vs. Intuition (the body & the unconscious mind)

What will come up for us during this Lunar Eclipse

Virgo, is associated with the 6th House in astrology, which rules the workplace, our approach to work, and what we need out of a work environment, as well as routines, acts of service, health, nutrition, and duties. During this time, we could experience the closure of one cycle and the beginning of a new one relating to these areas of life. The sign Virgo tends to crave control through being familiar with its environment and overall setup-this is a sign that needs to manage its environment in order to feel safe and secure.

It is not uncommon for people to want to stay in environments, relationships, and situations that are no longer (or maybe never were) aligned because it feels familiar and gives the impression of safety. The thing is that eclipses bring about change and transformation whether we’re ready for it or not. Lunar eclipses are powerful, transformative events that compel us to look deep within and confront some of our more difficult habits and tendencies.

This astrological event is calling on us to re-evaluate our work arrangements, setups, and priorities, especially where we are overextending ourselves. This marks a time to align our daily routines and schedules with our body and physical needs-highlighting the very strong mind-body connection that exists. Virgo is also linked to the analytical mind, which can bring about heightened self-consciousness and an overly critical nature.

This could also be a moment to reflect on ways in which you’ve been too hard on yourself and to let go of limiting or false beliefs that have been holding you back in some way. Sometimes, it’s better to take a chance and make mistakes along the way than to not try at all.

How to interpret this lunar eclipse in your birth chart

This is based on the Whole Sign house system.

First, look at the house in your birth chart that’s ruled by Virgo, this reveals the areas of life where you are experiencing important epiphanies and important realizations. Next, look at the house in your birth chart that’s ruled by Pisces-this reveals where you are letting go of old patterns and could require karmic closure.

So, for example, if this eclipse is activating your 2nd/8th House axis, it could look like being exposed to important truths surrounding your deepest bonds and connections, vulnerability, intimacy, and trust, and control (especially relating to joint ventures and shared resources), and letting go of old, outdated belief systems surrounding money-specifically your ability to make money and the way(s) in which you can make it.

This could especially relate to the language and roles that you assign to money. For example, you might stop using the word “earn” when talking about money, because it implies that it’s tied to your self-worth, and instead opt for the word “make”, as it’s linked to your ability to create and connect to source energy. You are being called to adopt more faith when it comes to inviting money and abundance into your life.

It’s also important to look at the house that your natal Mercury (the ruler of Virgo) is placed in, as this shows the areas of life where the lessons and takeaways from the eclipse will unfold.

For example, if Mercury is situated in your 11th House of community, networks, and long-term goals and aspirations, it could manifest in the form of sharing your truth and what you’ve learned with your communities or audience, as well incorporating these lessons with the intention of furthering your goals.

• It hits or forms a close conjunction with your natal lunar nodes

Fixed vs. Temporary

Our birth chart and relocated charts are both fixed, meaning that they don’t change. Your natal chart is a snapshot of where the planets, luminaries, and celestial bodies were located at the precise moment that you were born. It is fixed because those placements never change.

Your relocated chart recalculates your birth chart for a different geographic location. Like your natal chart, your relocated chart is also fixed, but to a place, not to your birth moment alone.

Astrological transits are the current positions of the planets in the sky and how they interact with your natal chart. These are often referred to as astrology forecasts, because the transiting objects represent the metaphorical “weather conditions” that accompany them.

Transits can be quite impactful and are a reflection of what’s going on around us, both energetically and in the literal, physical sense. It’s important to understand the difference between inner planets and outer planets in astrology, because the way their transits manifest can be different.

Inner planets are often referred to as personal planets, and include the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars. These planets shape our identity, tendencies, interests, habits, and thinking, and tend to affect us on a more individual level. Planetary transits involving inner planets last for a shorter amount of time compared to outer planet transits.

Outer planets are known as transpersonal planets, and include Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, and represent more collective themes (especially involving psychology, perception, and generational traits and tendencies) and long-term shifts (both in our personal life and on a wider scale), being that transits involving these planets can last quite a long time.

How transits can impact our experience

I want to make it clear that transits affect us no matter where we are in the world. A difficult transit will feel “less” bad in a more energetically aligned location, but will also feel worse in a difficult location. But the main takeaway is, the themes, topics, and experiences associated with a challenging transit will likely come up, whether you’re in your dream location or somewhere less appealing.

An example of how this can manifest: Let’s say you’re living on a Jupiter line, and you’ve got relocated chart placements that indicate financial abundance and wealth. You take a look at your current transits, and Saturn is transiting your 2nd house of money, wealth, resources, and values. That Saturn transit can actually make those desired themes of wealth and abundance feel toned down or diminished completely.

What to expect during different transits

It’s key to look at the planets, luminaries, and celestial bodies, the birth chart houses that they’re transiting, and the aspects they’re making to your birth chart placements.

Some examples of planetary transits:

Sun: Shows where you might feel more motivated and gain more recognition, as well as themes you’re identifying with more.

Moon: Reveals where your emotional needs and desires are being expressed, as well as mood changes, and emotional shifts.

Venus: Venus tends to bring greater ease and harmony to the area(s) of life represented in the birth chart house she is transiting. It’s also symbolic of the area of life where you feel more connected. Creativity can also feel heightened during certain Venus transits.

Saturn: Saturn transits can feel very charged because they bring up a variety of different themes, and most of them are quite challenging. First of all, Saturn restricts- it seeks to eliminate structures, arrangements, relationships, and setups that are no longer aligned. Saturn is also a teacher, showing us where we need to adopt more patience, discipline, and structure.

Some examples of house transits:

1st House: Planets, luminaries, or celestial bodies transiting this house tend to affect your physical body, appearance, health, and energy levels. They can also have an impact on your identity.

2nd House: Expect your finances, possessions, or work to be affected in some way during 2nd House transits. Your values and priorities could also shift significantly during these transits.

7th House: These have a strong impact on your 1-1 committed partnerships. Depending on which planet is transiting, it could look like forming a new relationship, ending a current one, marriage, divorce, collaboration opportunities, etc.

11th House: Communities, groups, and social circles can undergo changes during some 11th House transits. Some 11th House transits, such as Saturn or Uranus, can also prompt us to revisit our goals and future plans.

Overall takeaways

It’s probably a (very) good idea to look into your current and upcoming astrological transits before relocating or making any major life decision (in addition to getting an Astrocartography reading!) Looking at transits shouldn’t scare you or influence you to cancel your plans; rather, they give you an idea of what to expect and ways to prepare in advance.

This astrological event is incredibly significant and powerful because it embodies the energy of new beginnings on a spiritual level that are both empowering and liberating.

February 17th marks the true beginning of 2026 -at least energetically. In Numerology, 2026 is a 1 Universal Year, representing new cycles, new beginnings, reinvention, taking action, and stepping into the unknown with enthusiasm. 2025 was a snake year, which rocked the surfaces for many of us. Last year was rife with themes of transformation, loss, starting over, and leaving behind outdated approaches and belief systems that have been holding us back. A snake sheds its skin, and we shed old versions of ourselves…

The Fire Horse and the sign of Aquarius actually have several commonalities. Both are connected to shakeups, social and cultural changes, and rebellion.

Eclipses serve as energetic portals that bring about deep reflection, compelling us to look deep within, confront some of our more difficult habits and tendencies, often bringing about important epiphanies and realizations. They are known to elevate us spiritually if we manage to tap into their energy.

This solar eclipse serves as a reminder of the interconnectivity between all of us. It pushes us to look inward and reflect on the impact of our actions and to release limiting beliefs, especially those relating to our identity, individuality, and personal freedom. The sign of Aquarius deals with themes of connection and individuality simultaneously, but in a very interesting way. Aquarius seeks to rebel and disrupt the status quo. It is the sign of community and networks, but at the same time, it does not care about fitting in. Why? Because this is a sign that prioritizes the well-being of humanity as a whole rather than conformity. For Aquarius, conformity is often the root of the problem itself. This is paradoxical in a way because conformity and coercion are two unintended consequences of group dynamics that sometimes occur.

Many shifts are taking place, and with everything happening all at once, this eclipse is calling on us to tune into our inner voice and to not follow but to actually *forge* the path that resonates on a soul level. The combination of this Aquarius energy with Saturn and Neptune both being in Aries is sending a clear message:You know what you have to do, so get started and just do it.

This is about initiative plus letting go of the outcome. Remember that Aquarians are often labeled as detached, and this has to do with the nature of change itself and the need to remain detached from the specific outcome of that change, whatever it may be. This is about trusting the process, but not sitting back and watching. It requires being agents of our own change and collective change, and having an inner knowing that our actions and intentions will come to fruition.

This eclipse is also noteworthy because it’s making a square with a late degree Uranus in Taurus, signaling that we are on the cusp of change, and there could be an underlying feeling of resistance to that change, because it is a fight between what’s familiar and comfortable (Taurus themes) and a collective push for change and the unknown (Aquarius themes). Moreover, the new Moon is conjunct Mars, which could bring a sense of urgency and hastiness, prompting us to say the quiet part out loud. It’s *also* taking place during the Saturn-Neptune conjunction-an astrological event we haven’t witnessed since November 1989. This is a time when practicality and imagination merge, encouraging us not only to visualize our dreams and goals but also to initiate the process of turning them into reality through logical, structured, methodical actions rather than wishful thinking. These influences, tied together with the eclipse energy in Aquarius, serve as a wake-up call for many, but also as a major opportunity to gain greater alignment through being proactive and discerning, but also by thinking big and envisioning something amazing. While this all might seem quite paradoxical, it’s actually just undoing the limiting belief systems that we’ve been fed for far too long!

In astrology, a birth chart contains four main angles representing the core areas of life, and they are:

The Ascendant: The self, identity, physical body, and inclinations.

The Descendant: Relationships with other people, especially committed, 1-1 partnerships.

The IC: Foundations, home, family, domestic life, but also how we relate to a location and the associations we have with it.

The MC: Career, business, opportunities, public image, social standing.

The sign ruling over each of these angles is really important because knowing this reveals our approach to those areas of life and what our experiences could look like. Additionally, identifying which planets are conjunct those angles also adds to the story.

For example, say someone has Libra ruling over their midheaven. This person could be attracted to careers dealing with Libra/Venusian themes, such as fashion, design, law, social justice, and advocacy, but can also be somewhat indecisive when it comes to their career path, being that this sign tends to struggle with indecisiveness. This person could also be perceived quite well and be well-liked in the workplace, or have a good reputation, being that Venus rules harmony and attraction.

But let’s say this same person has Mars conjunct their Libra-ruled midheaven. This could change things a lot. The person could be very motivated, driven, but also competitive and potentially perceived as aggressive and high-strung in the workplace. This energy could go directly against Libra’s themes of cooperation and collaboration.

In this issue of The Astrocartography Edit, I want to exclusively focus on the IC signs and how we can connect them to locational astrology.

Beauty is all around us! What would your most ideal environment look and feel like?

Aries/Mars:

In a birth chart: You probably seek out locations that enable you to maintain an active lifestyle. You can be restless and eager to take spontaneous trips. In terms of your environment, you prefer warmer, drier places. You could have grown up in an intense home with a lot of tension and conflict.

In a relocated chart: This location could feel intense, restless, even hostile. A more positive manifestation of this could be feeling more motivated and having higher energy levels.

Taurus/Venus:

In a birth chart: You are easily affected by your environment, making it important for you to live in a space that feels safe and comfortable. You can be stuck in your comfort zone when it comes to relocating because you think of all the potential possibilities of what could happen. In general, you don’t like to relocate too often. You like places with beautiful scenery and landscapes with access to nature/green spaces.

In a relocated chart: This is typically regarded as one of the more favorable IC rulers in astrocartography. This location feels safe, stable, and emotionally comforting. Having this in a relocated chart is often an indicator of staying in that location for quite a long time, even forever.

Gemini/Mercury:

In a birth chart: Similar to Aries, this IC/4th House placement can be quite restless. It craves a lot of stimulation and variety. An ideal environment could look like a city with a lot of bustling energy that’s close to the beach and the mountains. You also value an environment that’s intellectually stimulating with access to libraries, bookstores, museums, etc.

In a relocated chart: Often indicates restlessness, not feeling settled. The place feels exciting in a way, but probably isn’t the best for the long term.

Cancer/Moon:

In a birth chart: You could be drawn to the country of your ancestors. Similar to Taurus IC/4th House, you prefer settling somewhere long-term as opposed to nomading. Ideally, you’d prefer to be near a large body of water, especially a coastal area.

In a relocated chart: This is considered one of the strongest IC/4th House placements in a relocated chart! The place often feels like literal home, and people here often befriend others who feel like family. The location is very much associated either with one’s literal family or chosen family.

Leo/Sun:

In a birth chart: You could find yourself craving a location that promotes creativity in some way. You like having access to theatres, music venues, museums, art galleries-anywhere that enables creative expression. You probably prefer warmer, sunnier places with a beach-like climate. Having a beautiful home that reflects your tastes is also a must!

In a relocated chart: Points to a location that feels excited, jam-packed with fun and entertainment. This is often an excellent place for creatives. However, it can feel overwhelming for those who prefer a calmer vibe.

Virgo/Mercury:

In a birth chart: You would ideally like to reside somewhere that allows you to create a specific routine. For this reason, having access to certain amenities like gyms, parks, art studios, and healthy supermarkets could be a priority for you. In terms of your environment, you might prefer earthier places with a lot of green, trees, and mountains. You thrive more in locations that are relaxing and peaceful as opposed to ones that are hectic and chaotic.

Scorpio/Mars&Pluto:

In a birth chart: If you have Scorpio IC or Scorpio ruling the 4th House, you probably value having your space and privacy because you are quite introspective. You prefer to live in obscure, less-known locations. Natural environments that feel intense and eye-catching, such as evergreen forests, dramatic coastlines, mountains, and volcanic landscapes are appealing to you. Capricorn/Saturn:

In a birth chart: Practicality is very important when it comes to deciding where to live. You need to live in an environment that allows you to focus on work/business with access to professional networking opportunities. This placement also indicates being drawn to vast, mountainous areas with a cooler climate.

In a relocated chart: This place can be excellent for discipline, motivation, and professional development. However, there is often a coldness/stiffness to it.

Aquarius/Saturn&Uranus:

In a birth chart: People with this 4th House/IC placement often crave freedom, and the ability to move freely. Additionally, you may choose to be involved in alternative lifestyles and communities. There could be a sense of detachment from where you live with this placement.

In a relocated chart: Having this in a relocated chart points to feeling free and liberated in a location. This often feels like a place where you can truly live life on your terms. More alternative lifestyles and people can be common here.

Pisces/Jupiter&Neptune:

In a birth chart: You wish to have a deep, spiritual connection to the place where you live. Having a sense of peace, calmness, and serenity is vital with this placement. You tend to prefer dreamy environments with large bodies of water and wetter climates.

In a relocated chart: This place could feel dreamy, idealized, like a sanctuary. Good for spiritual retreats, but may not be the most grounding for some people.

An important Announcement! 💡

Community is the foundation of everything, but it’s not at the center of our conversations enough. In a world of hyper-individualism and endless distractions, it can feel tough to identify and understand what we truly need as human beings.

Community matters because it creates spaces where we support and show up for each other, while enabling us to recognize our own unique gifts and talents that we can share with the world.

The cosmos have been guiding us for several thousand years, allowing us to understand ourselves on a deeper level, grow and evolve spiritually, and find the path that most aligns with our destiny. Astrology provides a very special type of inner guidance, one that brings us in greater harmony with the energies of the universe.

Astrology is pattern recognition and this becomes so much more meaningful and applicable when we witness the impact that the stars have across multiple lives, as this helps us to navigate and maximize the potential of these cosmic energies as a collective.

The answer is that some planets, luminaries, and celestial bodies combine well with one another, while some typically don’t mesh well. The key lies in understanding the energies and themes of each line and knowing how those can interplay when combined.

Examples of Challenging ACG Line combos (ranked in no particular order)

• Sun & Mars: The Sun tends to highlight and exacerbate the traits of any planet it’s combined with. Furthermore, arrogance and having a more ego-driven personality are other potentially challenging manifestations of living on Sun lines. When we combine this with Mars’ potential overconfidence and headstrong nature, we may notice that the person living here becomes more stubborn and overly confrontational.

• Sun & Saturn: Saturn’s influence can seem to dim the Sun’s light. The Sun is associated with self-confidence, motivation, recognition, and a desire to be noticed, a stark contrast from Saturnian energy, which can feel constrictive, uptight, and critical. A person could potentially experience a lot of self-doubt here-wavering between wanting to be seen and understood and hiding away.

• Moon & Pluto: In Astrology, the Moon rules over our deepest emotional needs and the way we handle situations subconsciously. How people experience Moon lines can really vary, because these places tend to activate our emotions tenfold. Pluto represents intensity, transformation, and power dynamics. Merging these themes with our emotional world can feel like excessive inner turmoil and emotional instability.

Examples of ACG line combos that could honestly go either way

• Sun & Moon: The Sun is more external and outward, whereas the Moon is more about our inner world. A positive manifestation of this could be balancing your social and public life with your inner, more personal life. This can also be a place where you develop your sense of self while feeling quite at home. The thing is that this place could feel quite powerful and emotionally charged if you’re looking for a short-term living situation, or for a lighter energy. Moreover, living on this line combo can also potentially complicate masculine-feminine dymanics, which might not be ideal for cultivating lasting relationships (especially romantic ones).

• Venus & Neptune: The combination of Venus and Neptune can really activate and heighten one’s creativity and imagination. I myself live on my Neptune-Venus paran, and have definitely become a lot more creative. Here, I find myself doing and trying things that weren’t even on my radar back in NYC. There is certainly an openness to this ACG line combo, because Neptune is very porous when it comes to boundaries, and Venus tends to be relationship-oriented and receptive to others. The potential downsides of having the influence of both Venus and Neptune include deception or self-deception in relationships, escapism, being overly idealistic, and overindulgence.

• Mercury & Jupiter: This combination is usually more positive than negative, but being that Mercury is a personal planet that rules communication and the mind, the way it’s aspected in our birth chart, and the sign it’s in can really influence a person’s experience on a Mercury line. This location could be top-tier for learning, studying, and gaining influence (especially political influence), as it merges ideologies, philosophies, and deep learning with communication, openness, and getting ideas out there. Life here could feel quite stimulating and exciting overall.

Examples of some of the more supportive ACG line combos

• Sun & Venus: This would be a location that supports confidence, visibility, romance, and attraction. People living on these two lines may find that they become more invested in their health and physical appearance, including personal style. This location could also be quite favorable money-wise because Venus is associated with financial abundance.

• Moon & Jupiter: Inner spiritual development could be a major theme when living on or near these two ACG lines. Jupiter’s optimism and expansive nature combined with the Moon’s emotions and connectedness, can really make for a special experience! This could be a powerful place for manifesting, turning our innermost wishes into reality…

• Venus & North Node: As I’ve shared in other issues of The Astrocartography Edit, North Node lines tend to bring about changes that are necessary, and are locations that often feel (and actually are) fated. Many times, I’ve found that clients have been subconsciously drawn to one of their North Node lines, without knowing a thing about Astrocartography. When combined with Venus, this could look like fated romances and social connections that shape who we become.

With all of that being said, remember that your birth chart ultimately serves as the basis for whether an ACG line will feel supportive or not for you. Additionally, it’s very necessary to look into your relocated chart too, because the ACG lines only tell a small part of the story! 2026 is here, and with it will come some major astrological shifts. If you watched the latest episode of Moon Me-An Astrology Podcast, you might have heard Roxy and me talk about planetary transits and the differences between the inner and outer planets. This comprehensive astrology forecast is focused on outer planet transits, but I’d like to briefly explain the differences between the two:

• Inner planets are often referred to as personal planets, and include the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars. These planets shape our identity, tendencies, interests, habits, and thinking, and tend to affect us on a more individual level. Planetary transits involving inner planets last for a shorter amount of time compared to outer planet transits.

• Outer planets are known as transpersonal planets, and include Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, and represent more collective themes (especially involving psychology, perception, and generational traits and tendencies) and long-term shifts, being that transits involving these planets can last quite a long time.

So without further ado, here is the astrology of 2026. This section of the forecast is focused on collective themes, while the next section contains rising sign horoscopes:

Although Pluto entered its transit in Aquarius in November 2024, it is going to remain in Aquarius until 2044 and will therefore continue to impact us individually and as a whole

Collective impact: Technology will continue to develop, albeit more rapidly than it already has been in recent years. There will be some downsides to the Pluto in Aquarius transit, including the potential for more social isolation due to greater reliance on the internet and social media, greater political polarization due to social media/internet algorithms, and technocratic control. Avoiding the use of technology will become increasingly more difficult. We can also expect to see more activism, changemaking, and social and political disruption.

Neptune enters Aries on January 26th, 2026, and will stay there until 2039. This marks the last time that Neptune is in the sign of Pisces in our lifetime.

Collective impact: Truth gets revealed, illusions start to fall, the general populace becomes increasingly disillusioned with the state of affairs, greater erosion of trust, developing greater self-awareness and trust in ourselves, more self-reliance, taking action, and embracing the “by all means necessary” approach.

Saturn enters Aries on February 13th, 2026. This transit will last until April 2028.

Collective impact: Potential struggles around patience, balancing courage and responsibility, intentionality vs. impulsiveness, and learning to accept help from others. Saturn is in fall in Aries, because Aries loves to initiate, and do things fearlessly, whereas Saturn is more prudent, cautious, and restrictive. This transit will teach us to follow through with what we started, to take accountability for our decisions, and to take more calculated risks.

On February 17th, 2026, there will be a solar eclipse during the New Moon in Aquarius.

Collective impact: This solar eclipse will serve as a reminder of the interconnectivity between all of us. It pushes us to look inward and reflect on the impact of our actions and to release limiting beliefs, especially those relating to our identity, individuality, and personal freedom.

A very rare Saturn-Neptune conjunction will take place on February 20th, 2026.

Collective impact: Practicality and imagination merge. This will be a time to not only visualize our dreams and goals but to initiate the process of turning them into reality through logical, structured, methodical actions rather than wishful thinking. Also, expect major shifts and new advancements in communication and forms of media.

Uranus enters Gemini on April 25th, ending its nearly 8-year long transit in Taurus.

Collective impact: Things might start to feel faster, especially in the area of life where Gemini rules your birth chart. Technology will continue to accelerate, but so will the discussions and debates around it (especially AI). Remember, Gemini is the sign of duality, and duality, which can often bring up contradiction. When it comes to AI, this transit will force humanity to confront its relationship to thought itself amidst the overload of information. Furthermore, Gemini is ruled by Mercury, which rules communication, thinking, and the mind, while Uranus rules rebellion, disruption, sudden changes, innovation, and alternative thinking. This combination of energies can push us to re-examine and radically change our thought patterns and outlook on life.

Chiron enters Taurus on June 19th, 2026, but only for a brief period of time before fully completing its transit in Aries in April 2027.

Collective impact: Chiron in this sign highlights a challenging relationship to materialism, money, and personal values (especially self-worth). This transit will reveal where you need to invite in more abundance, as well as where you need to slow down, take it easy, and receive without trying to overcompensate.

Jupiter enters Leo on June 29th, 2026.

Collective impact: This transit will spark creativity and boldness; this is not the time to play it small. Having some audacity isn’t a bad thing. This is also a time to live our best lives and explore what truly brings us joy and fulfilment. One thing to be careful of is enabling ourselves and others, because both Jupiter and Leo are associated with excess. The loudest one in the room isn’t always the smartest.

North Node enters Aquarius/South Node enters Leo on July 26th, 2026.

Collective impact: The Aquarius/Leo nodal axis compels us to reflect on our roles as individuals and how we relate to the collective, specifically, what we can share with our communities, even if there’s “nothing in it for us.” This transit calls us away from the need for external validation and from making choices based on how we’re perceived, and instead encourages us to recognize our unique gifts and consider how they can serve something greater than ourselves.

Rising sign horoscopes for 2026

Aries Rising:

Your physical self and identity will become a major focus for you as Saturn and Neptune transit your 1st House for most of the year. Saturn’s influence might feel as if parts of your life need major restructuring, and you could easily feel burdened by heavy responsibilities. On the flip side, you could establish new goals and plans, but it’s important to evaluate which ones are actually worth committing to.

Neptune being here can feel enchanting yet overwhelming, hard to describe. Your creativity and imagination could feel heightened during this 14-year transit, but at the same time, since Neptune tends to blur boundaries, you could find yourself unintentionally absorbing the energies and feelings of those around you. The 7th House rules over our committed 1-1 partnerships, and having two outer planets transiting this house at the same time is definitely significant. Foreign travel could very well be on the horizon for you. You might also have new, exciting experiences or want to have them.

Jupiter’s transit in Leo in your 11th House can bring forward more opportunities to socialize, network, and meet new people. It is also likely that you will become more laser-focused on your goals and ambitions. This will be a good time to leverage your network for work and career opportunities, and to take time to prioritize what matters most to you and your community.

Overall takeaways: Your relationships will take center stage during these transits. You will likely go through experiences that shift your perspective on some of the most important connections and bonds you have built. This is also a time to be open to inviting new people into your life.

Scorpio rising:

Work, career, health, and routine will be highlighted by the Saturn and Neptune transits in Aries in your 6th House. You may find that your work and career need a boost or an overall restructuring. You could pursue trainings and certifications in order to land a better opportunity. Saturn is restrictive and will want to cut you off from any work setups that aren’t benefiting you and your intended path. Saturn here will also force you to divert some of your attention away from your work and career path so that you nourish and care for yourself, which is the most basic foundation of life.

Speaking of career and work opportunities, Jupiter in Gemini in your 10th House could potentially bring new career opportunities, the development of new skills (especially diversification) and studies, gaining the courage to start your own business venture, and even a possible promotion.

Uranus’ transit in Gemini in your 8th House could bring surprises in the area of your finances, whether through a tax return, inheritance, or experiencing financial instability. This is a time to be extra cautious regarding taxes and having everything in order. You can also feel the urge to explore life and the human experience on a much deeper level, and develop interests and hobbies that you wouldn’t typically identify with.

Overall takeaways: These transits might create a bit of a paradox for you. On the one hand, you are desiring a shift or even a complete overhaul of your current work situation, but on the other hand, you are being called to focus on the less superficial sides of the human experience, to identify what truly matters outside of work and career, and to nourish yourself in order to create a more solid foundation.

Sagittarius rising:

Saturn’s transit in Aries in your 5th house might feel a bit like killjoy. In other words, this could be a time of increased duties and responsibilities. This could feel like more of a long-term planning and structuring phase than a time for fun and games. At the same time, you will be tapping into your individuality, uniqueness, and how these show up in various forms of self-expression. If you’ve got a creative project going on, this will be an opportune time to work on the logistics and planning to get it out there. It’s important to remain disciplined but also to not lose sight of what makes you feel alive. Finally, you will probably take a greater interest in your health. Neptune in Aries will also be in your 5th House, inspiring creativity and imagination and prompting you to explore pleasure and fantasy in romance and dating. Spirituality may also start to appeal to you more during this time.

Uranus in Gemini will be transiting your 7th House, potentially shaking things up in your partnerships and close friendships. It could bring more fresh, exciting energy and new beginnings. Another possible manifestation is the establishment of new dynamics within your partnerships, the termination of a current relationship, or meeting someone new unexpectedly (Uranus does rule surprises, you know!)

Jupiter in Leo’s transit in your 9th House will likely lead you to new, exciting experiences relating to travel, relocation, learning, and studying. The Leo energy can bestow a newfound sense of confidence and dare I say audacity! You could feel more optimistic as well, but with this transit plus Neptune in your 5th, be sure to remain grounded and practical when necessary.

Overall takeaways: 2026 is an exciting year for sure, one rich with new, exciting experiences and perspectives. You could expect a few shakeups here and there, but remember that your mindset and the way you frame things will make all the difference.

Capricorn rising:

Your sense of home and belonging has been on your mind for quite some time now, with Chiron in Aries transiting your 4th House since 2019. It’s actually quite interesting, being that I, a Capricorn rising, moved abroad in 2019 and have gone through some challenging living situations. I’ve also noticed that many of the Astrocartography clients I’ve worked with have also been Capricorn risings, so it all tracks. The Chiron in Aries transit will end in April of 2027, but now, Saturn and Neptune in Aries are about to begin transiting your 4th House! It may sound daunting, but there are actually some positives to this. Saturn here could look like establishing the structure and foundations in a new home, putting in the time and effort to turn your house into a home that reflects your essence, identity, and long-term vision. Another way this transit could manifest is in the form of increased responsibilities related to home and family (eg. caring for relatives, heightened expectations in the home, becoming a parent). During this time, your inner world and environment will have a significant effect on your career and public life (4th/10th house axis), so it’s important to try and maintain a strong, supportive home environment, and to leave ones that are weighing you down emotionally if you can.

Neptune in Aries in your 4th House can bring some confusion and lack of clarity regarding your home life or the location where you live in general. You might not feel fully settled and have an itch to travel, explore, and spend more time near large bodies of water. Your emotional security will also be highlighted during this transit, and therefore, it’s important to get clear on what is truly giving you emotional security, making it essential to distinguish between what genuinely nourishes you emotionally and what only appears to offer comfort while ultimately undermining your well-being.

Your 6th House will be rocked by Uranus’ transit in Gemini, potentially bringing exciting new work opportunities and reinventing the way you work and go about your daily life. This represents a period of significant changes that might creep up on you all at once. You might start working remotely, start an online business, become more tech-savvy, and have to balance many things all at once. This is an excellent time to learn, study, upskill, make new connections, and try new things.

Jupiter in Leo will be transiting your 8th House, enabling you to connect to your subconscious mind, desires, and sexuality on a deeper level. This is also a good time to go more in-depth into studying topics like psychology, astrology, tarot, witchcraft, and mysticism. You might have a lot of existential questions about life during this time, and want to have a deeper understanding of everything. This transit could also highlight financial issues, especially joint finances. Income can increase significantly during this time, especially if you are in a long-term romantic partnership or business partnership. However, Jupiter in Leo is very much associated with extravagance, so it’s imperative to be mindful of your spending. Pay attention to things that get revealed to you, especially patterns and tendencies of those around you.

Overall takeaways: There’s a lot of energy for new beginnings, new cycles, and taking things to the next level. Balancing your inner and outer worlds will help you to maximize the gifts of these transits. You are probably going to be busier than ever this year, so make sure not to neglect your health and well-being.

Aquarius rising:

The way you think and communicate will be profoundly affected by Saturn and Neptune’s transits in Aries in your 3rd House. You may waver from feeling very grounded, disciplined, and structured (Saturn) to letting your imagination run wild (Neptune). These are two outer planets that are very different from each other. This can actually be a very positive combination, however, because it can enable you to make greater sense of spiritual concepts that once seemed foreign to you. Patience is going to be a big theme during this transit, and it’s a good time to ask yourself “where do I need to exercise greater patience in my interactions with others?” Saturn here will test you, especially when dealing with misunderstandings with other people. Neptune here could broaden your creative scope, making you think about, and possibly pursue, new creative hobbies-especially in music or writing.

The Uranus transit in Gemini will be in your 5th House, further emphasizing your creativity, self-expression, and activities that maximize your joy and happiness. You might explore multiple creative outlets (Gemini loves variety!), and just find that you’re starting to desire more freedom in life. It feels like it’s finally time for you to rewrite your own rules for life…

Jupiter’s transit in Leo in your 7th House could signify significant events related to love, partnership, romance, and even close connections in general. This could look like taking your existing relationship to the next level of commitment, whether through marriage or simply deepening your connection. If you’re single, this could be a fortuitous time to meet someone (if that’s what you’re looking for). Those with client-based businesses could find that they get more clients, or attract collaborations that support their visibility.

Overall takeaways: 2026 is all about finding and actively pursuing the things that make you truly happy. You are embracing fresh, new perspectives and doing away with outdated beliefs that have held you back. This year represents a leap of faith…

Pisces rising:

Saturn’s transit in Aries in your 2nd House could push you to re-evaluate your priorities when it comes to your finances as well as personal values. You will start to question what matters to you the most, and explore whether your current lifestyle choices are in alignment with that. Be careful, as Saturn is often there to teach us lessons, especially around discipline, and in your case, money. Neptune in Aries in your 2nd House could indicate monetizing through creative or spiritual endeavors. The combination of Saturn and Neptune here is interesting-you might go from being totally delulu about money to having sudden realizations about budgeting and investing that could make you stress out a bit. Either way, money will definitely be on your mind.

If you’ve been thinking about relocating or even moving abroad, now might be the time that it happens, being that Uranus in Gemini will be transiting your 4th House. This transit is likely to support travel and relocation, as well as a sense of curiosity and learning regarding these topics. You could feel a need to move or travel frequently. Relationships with family members and those in your household can also shift significantly during this period.

Jupiter’s transit in Leo in your 6th House could potentially bring forward new opportunities in your career, especially if you work in the entertainment industry or something aimed at getting the attention of the public. You will likely meet many new people during this time, but bear in mind that it’s still important to feel the vibes out and protect your energy-not everyone deserves access to you! You might also feel a desire to change up your routine in a way that promotes more self-expression and extravagance. In other words, you’re slowing down and aiming to enjoy and cherish every moment!

Overall takeaways: In 2026 and beyond, you can expect new ventures in your career, travel, and even your home. You may very well be living elsewhere by the end of this year, if that’s what you want-claim it!

Final thoughts…

Remember that these are just the outer planet transits! The planets are moving and impacting our charts, and in turn, us, at all times. Inner planet transits, which last for a much shorter amount of time, can also affect us throughout the year. For that reason, I highly encourage you to book a 2026 year-ahead reading for a more personalized experience!

As an Astrocartographer, I get asked this question fairly often, and the answer is not as cut and dry as one would hope.

But one thing’s for certain. Very often, visiting a place could look and feel drastically different from living there. Especially if a person is there more as a tourist and less as a traveler-there’s a big difference!

A tourist’s experience is often deliberately curated, which is unsurprising, being that countries and cities all over the world strive to make a good impression in order to capitalize off of tourism. However, a tourist’s typical experience rarely, if ever, reflects the reality of what it’s truly like to live there as a local.

When we look at travel vs. relocation on an energetic level, we first need to explore the question: When are energetic shifts first felt?

Long-renowned Astrocartographer Elliot Jay Tanzer shared in his book, Evaluating Astrocartography Maps-Finding The Best Places to Live & Travel:

“There is no simple answer to this question, as each individual’s relationship with the various planetary energies is different. This difference is indicated by what your natal chart may reveal about that planet…”

The differences indicated by the natal chart include an individual’s sensitivity to lunar energy and significant aspects made between planets, luminaries, and celestial bodies in the natal chart.

It’s important to note that there are additional factors influencing how strongly an ACG line is felt and when that planetary energy starts to be experienced:

1. Proximity to an ACG Line: Jim Lewis, who is considered the founder of modern Astrocartography, referenced 700 miles from an ACG line as being the absolute outer limit to which its planetary energy could be felt. He posited that the main zone of influence extends about 300 miles on either side of an ACG line and that overall, the closer you get to an ACG line, the more it is felt. Its themes also tend to emerge more quickly.

Some of you may be wondering what it means to feel an ACG line. Being on or very close to an ACG line (say within 0-50 miles) could manifest life-defining experiences that are very much associated with the themes and life lessons of that planet, luminary, or celestial body. These life lessons can be identified by knowing the sign and house placement of said planet, luminary, or celestial body, and understanding the implications of that placement in your natal chart.

2. The type of ACG line you’re on: ASC and MC lines tend to be felt faster and more externally. ASC lines can manifest physical changes, mood, and identity shifts, as well as our confidence, approach to life, and how we are perceived. MC lines are linked to career and life trajectory shifts and transitions. IC lines are more internal and psychological because they represent our relationship to a location and our home and private life. DC lines often take the longest to experience fully because they highlight our relationships, which are built over time.

3. Having several planets on or conjunct your birth chart angles in a relocated chart: The angular houses (1st, 4th, 7th, and 10th) represent the four most impactful areas of life:

1st: The self, identity, physical body, appearance

4th: Home, roots, ancestry, family

7th: 1-1 relationships with others, including committed partnerships

10th: Career, reputation, recognition, public image, social status

These are the areas of life where we tend to experience change in the form of major transitions, so whenever we have planets on or close to these angles, significant life shifts tend to begin rather quickly.

4. Having stelliums in a relocated chart: A stellium is when you have three or more planets in the same sign and house in a birth chart. Having a stellium means that the area of life associated with that house is activated, and that includes the themes and topics of that house.

5. Planetary transits: Difficult transits tend to feel worse on a more challenging ACG line, and supportive transits tend to feel better on a good ACG line. Transits, especially those involving Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Pluto, and Uranus or those affecting angular houses, can really be felt.

6. Natal condition of a planet: When a person relocates to an ACG line, they should take note of whether that planet is angular in the natal chart, whether it’s their chart ruler or the ruler of one of the angular houses, and its dignity (domicile, detriment, exaltation, or fall). For example, a Saturn line would be experienced very differently by someone who has Saturn as their chart ruler vs. someone who doesn’t.

7. Conscious engagement with the location: The energy shifts present in a new location are felt much faster if an individual is forming relationships, building community, working, or volunteering. Many people have shared that they didn’t really feel changes until they had to put themselves out there and establish roots.

The bottom line…all of this matters, but experiences vary from person to person. Eventually, though, if you stay somewhere long enough, you’re bound to feel a difference, for better or for worse.

The 14-year Neptune in Pisces transit

Neptune has also been in Pisces since 2011, and is on the brink of completing a 14-year cycle in January 2026. This long-term transit has undeniably had an effect on us as a collective and can explain a lot of what’s been going on-let me explain…

In Astrology, Neptune rules spirituality, dreams, intuition, blurred boundaries, interconnectedness, illusions, delusions, and escapism. The key themes I want to focus on here are spirituality and escapism, AKA spiritual bypassing.

From 2011 until now, but especially in more recent years, spiritual practices have become “mainstream” and accepted by the broader society. Once people started realizing that wealthy Western people were investing in and benefiting from ancient practices like astrology, meditation, rituals, and breathwork, people finally decided to reduce their skepticism around spirituality and all things “woo woo.”

I’m happy that people are seemingly waking up and realizing that these are incredibly helpful and powerful tools that can make going through life a bit easier and empower us in many ways. However, people need to fully credit the cultures and origins of these practices and read up on the role that organized religion and colonization have played in destroying spiritual practices and connection to the divine feminine all over the world, but especially in Europe and other Western countries.

This is not to attack organized religion, I think ancient practices and organized religion can potentially coexist, but that’s a separate, long winded discussion for another time.

But back to the growing popularity of spiritual practices, creators, and communities and Neptune in Pisces. As a collective, we’ve become more open to spirituality, but too many people are missing the point of it. That’s where the escapism and spiritual bypassing come in. Too many people are approaching spiritual practices in a way that enables an endless chase for something external, which completely goes against the entire purpose of a lot of these spiritual practices. There’s no use “doing the work” if you refuse to look within and confront yourself-your problems, your issues, your struggles.

So, it’s no surprise that there’s so much information circulating out there about moving abroad, and creators hyping up various locations across the globe. As an Astrocartographer, I think the last thing someone should do is follow location trends and pick a place just because so many people seem to love it so much.

The issue is that choosing your destination based on some Forbes list or online forum ignores such a critical component, and that’s how a person’s energetic chemistry interacts with a location. Tools like Astrocartography, Numerology, Feng Shui, Human Design, and Geomancy enable us to explore our relationship with different locations and the different themes that might emerge there.

Also, a place could “check all the boxes” in theory, but still feel off. Many places fail to live up to the hype or expectation that has been created in our minds.

People want quick answers to their problems, but the tools above require more of a deep dive to get vital information that can literally be life-changing.

What to expect during the Neptune in Aries transit

In Astrology, one of the key themes of Pisces is faith, which goes hand in hand with religion and spirituality. Faith is literally defined as complete trust or confidence in someone or something, according to the Oxford English Dictionary. And so for the last 14 years or so, we, as a collective, have been guilty of having blind faith in leaders (especially political figures), religions, gurus, coaches, healers-the list goes on. As we’ve inched closer to the upcoming Neptune in Aries transit, we’ve seen the illusions start to fall, and with that comes the erosion of trust.

Aries is a starkly different energy from Pisces. It’s a cardinal fire sign rather than a mutable water sign, and so it values actions over words. In addition, Aries also rules over the self, identity, leadership, and courage. That being said, we are entering an era of establishing greater trust and confidence in ourselves and going within to get answers to our most pressing questions. We can also expect to see idealism and virtue signaling replaced by action and more of a “by all and any means necessary approach.”

How Astrocartography ties into all of this

Astrocartography isn’t about finding a magical place that fixes your life. It’s about understanding what parts of yourself a place will activate. Energetic chemistry does not mean that a place is perfect, and even moving to your most supportive lines or having the most ideal relocated chart means nothing if you don’t know how to work with those energies and aren’t willing to learn the lessons that each planet is trying to teach you.

For example…

A Venus line won’t spare you from relational patterns you refuse to examine.

A Jupiter line won’t magically create abundance if you overextend and avoid responsibility.

An 11th House stellium could be wonderful for community building, but could also look like enmeshment if boundaries aren’t established.

Neptune in Aries is the antithesis of escapism. It’s calling on us to make our decisions consciously and intuitively. Including when, where, and HOW we move.

Astrocartography doesn’t just tell you where to go. It shows you what kind of work a place will demand of you, and asks whether you’re willing to meet it.

In my sessions, I approach astrocartography as a tool for conscious, accountable, and empowered relocation.

The lunar nodes represent an astrological concept that can seem hard to understand, partially because there is some disagreement among astrologers surrounding it. I personally would like to quote Jan Spiller, a fellow Evolutionary Astrologer and Author, who wrote an amazing book on the lunar nodes:

“I use the Nodes. The Nodes have never failed to give me the information I need to correctly guide the individual in achieving success, self-confidence, and balance within the personality.” -Jan Spiller.

I have touched upon the lunar nodes in some previous issues of Practical Astrology, my more general astrology-focused publication, but let’s review what they are…

Our south node sign and house placement show us aspects of our character and personality that have been overemphasized in past lives (in essence, where we’re “coming from”), whereas the north node reveals the experiences and mental and spiritual shift that a person must go through in order to fulfill their karmic destiny.

Example: South Node in the 1st House North Node in the 7th House: A person with these lunar node placements experiences their soul’s evolution, karmic lessons, and overall growth and learning through partnership and collaborating with others. The 1st House represents the self, ego, appearance, and identity. This person likely came into this world with a survivalist mentality and a desire to have their needs met at all times. In this lifetime, they are called to be more giving, especially with their partner, to develop trust, cooperation, and to develop awareness of their partner’s needs. They could find themselves in an unending search for independence, when what they need is to master compromise.

Challenges: Impulsiveness, anger outbursts, self-centeredness, resistance to compromise, indifference, overconcern with survival.

Common misconceptions around the lunar nodes

1. We have to reject the themes, topics, and tendencies of the south node entirely.

This is simply not true! The ultimate goal is to embrace the strengths of the south node and to balance the traits and tendencies of the north node and south node. The key thing to note is that we often have a strong tendency to lean too much into some of the south node traits and tendencies, while fearing or avoiding those associated with our north node.

Pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone into more “unknown territory” will help to get us un-stuck on a spiritual and psychological level.

2. The house placements of the lunar nodes are more influential than the zodiac sign ones or vice versa.

Based on my client work, I would say this really varies from person to person. Some people identify more with their lunar node house placements, while others resonate more with the zodiac sign ones. Personally, I do resonate with both, but more so the zodiac sign ones.

Lunar Node lines in Astrocartography

Experiences can vary a lot on lunar node lines, but I’ve noticed one thing that always holds true: life changes significantly on these lines—usually for the better!

However, when one node falls on a birth chart angle, the other will automatically fall on the opposite angle. What does this mean? That two different areas of life will be activated, and even tested at once.

North Node AC Line: Here, you could go through experiences that shape your identity. You can feel a strong sense of purpose in this location. Overall, there is a lot of self-growth to be lived here.

Being on this line means your South Node falls on the DC angle, which rules over 1-1 relationships with others. Living here could indicate experiencing some relationship challenges that might push you to take a different approach.

North Node IC Line: Living here could feel like there’s a fated connection to the location itself. Because the IC rules our inner world and private life, this location could also enable personal evolution and self-awareness. This place can also bring up family and ancestral connections.

This line places your South Node on the MC angle, which could point to a bit of stagnation and feeling stuck in your career or professional life. This could be a place that pushes you to adopt a different approach regarding this area of life.

North Node DC Line: Connections with others, especially 1-1 connections, become a major focus area here. Romantic encounters could feel very fated, and a lot of growth and evolution tend to occur as a result of these connections.

The South Node is on the AC angle, which could manifest as a tendency to revert to old habits and ways of doing things. There could be a degree of stubbornness, and resistance to change could stunt you in the long run. Awareness and embodiment of some of the traits of your north node is crucial.

Chiron is represented by a centaur in Greek Mythology.

In astrology, Chiron is an asteroid that represents “The Wounded Healer.” Its house placement, and to a lesser extent, its zodiac sign, help us understand the area(s) of our lives where our deepest emotional wound lies. This wound can transform into our greatest gift when we master the energy associated with it and help others dealing with similar issues.

The thing about Chiron is that it embodies the concept of pain before pleasure. It teaches us that we must go through some of the most seemingly difficult situations and events to embark on the healing process, which is not linear. Many people, including myself, are at some point very resistant to the themes associated with their natal Chiron placement. This is because Chiron is triggering in a way that no other astrology placement is.

Examples:

• Chiron in the 1st house could point to serious self-consciousness and self-doubt, because the trigger is you: your self, your identity, and your role in the world.

• Chiron in the 11th house could indicate a strong feeling of rejection and even ostracization in social circles, groups, and communities.

When it really comes down to it, though, Chiron is a force that pushes us out of our comfort zones, and it has the potential to enable positive changes in our personality, approach, and overall being.

Chiron Lines in Astrocartography

Chiron Lines are another ACG line that seem to yield mixed results, and to me, this makes complete sense, because how you experience a Chiron line often depends on where you’re at in your healing journey.

Some of the biggest themes and topics I’ve seen with clients on Chiron lines include rejection, a resurfacing of past traumas, especially family traumas, heartbreak, whilst also gaining a greater sense of independence and autonomy in the long term.

It’s also important to note that Chiron lines express themselves differently depending on whether they fall on the Ascendant, IC, Descendant, or Midheaven.

Chiron AC line: A person on this line can feel more self-conscious, feeling the need to subdue themselves and their personality. They may go through experiences that force them to embody greater confidence and trust in themselves.

Key words: empowerment, self-actualization, self-awareness, confidence, trust, self-reliance.

Chiron IC line: The location itself can be triggering, perhaps it is linked to family, relationship, or ancestral trauma. This line could feel very reflective, as the energies and themes are turned inward. Living here could force a person to confront their inner fears. Living here could feel very emotionally heavy. It’s especially important to pay attention to the messages that arise here and allow them to guide you.

Key words: Deep reflection, journaling, messages, inner world, ancestors, spirit guides.

Chiron DC line: Relationships and social dynamics could feel triggering here. Themes of rejection and heartbreak can occur. However, this location could also push you towards relationships and people who become part of your healing journey.

Key words: Relationship struggles, power dynamics, love, romance, heartbreak, healing heartbreak, empowering relationships, re-evaluating relationships.

Chiron MC line: Emotional wounds around your career path and public image can resurface here. Greater self-consciousness regarding how you’re perceived, because you can feel like the spotlight is on you and that you can be more subject to scrutiny. This can be an excellent place to work in a profession that requires healing and empowering others.

My personal experience with Chiron lines

I actually did have quite a profound experience on my Chiron IC line. It’s a very personal story, so I won’t share exactly where that line is, but what I can tell you is that I experienced major heartbreak and disappointment that eventually taught me what I truly wanted and needed out of a romantic relationship. It was a challenging situation, but it woke me up for sure.

The location itself felt emotionally heavy and hazy, I’ve never felt like that anywhere else in the world. Being there felt like some kind of strange dream…
