The Astrocartography Edit-Finding Love & Romantic Union using Astrocartography ❤️🔥
I have absolutely zero doubt in my mind that certain locations on Earth activate love and romance. In fact, I am living proof of this. I want to briefly share my own personal anecdote.
As I’ve already mentioned several times, I was born and raised in NYC and lived there for the majority of my life, except for when I attended University in Upstate NY. I relocated to Madrid, Spain, in 2019 and have remained here ever since. Living in NYC definitely had its pros and cons, and to be honest, there are some things and people that I miss so much, but let’s face it, there was one area of my life there that was disastrous, to say the least, and that was my love life.
Dating in NYC, and major U.S. cities is known to be very difficult, and I’m sure it’s only gotten worse since I left. According to Time Magazine, NYC was voted the worst city in the entire U.S. for dating. While in NYC, I found myself attracting men who, at best, I didn’t click with and, at worst, I didn’t feel safe with. They either felt like the biggest commitment-phobes or the type of men who, let’s just say, had a very specific agenda and idea of what a woman should be…
And this is just the straight dating scene, but from what I’ve seen and heard, the queer dating scene is also challenging.
Now I’ve also talked about my study abroad experience in Morocco, traveling to Portugal, and moving to Spain, and how my Moon DC line crosses through all three countries. Energetically, for dating and my interactions with men, these places have felt incredibly different, but in a good way. I want to break down why that is in Astrocartography terms:
My ascendant (rising sign) in my birth chart is Capricorn, which means that my Descendant/7th House, which rules 1-1 relationships, especially romantic ones, is ruled by Cancer.
Cancer is ruled by the Moon, and so in Astrocartography, theoretically, being on or near my Moon DC line would activate my love life, and this has been true for me.
I went out with men who I connected and resonated with in Portugal and Morocco, and although those fizzled out, I eventually met my fianceé, who I consider to be the love of my life, here in Madrid!

Some may consider this to be a coincidence, but I most certainly do not.
With all of that being said, let’s get into some of the most significant love and romance indicators in Astrocartography.
The planet ruling the Descendant on or closely conjunct the Descendant angle in the relocated chart (my example.)
The planet ruling natal Venus on or closely conjunct the Descendant angle in the relocated chart. For example, let’s say your Venus is in Aries, moving to your Mars DC line would likely activate love and romance, because Aries is ruled by the planet Mars.
Moon DC Line: In general, this line is associated with deep soul bonds, strong ties, and emotional resonance with others.
Venus DC Line: Venus is the planet of love, beauty, harmony, values, and relationships, and when placed on the DC angle, can bring partnerships that feel very aligned.
Jupiter DC Line: Jupiter on the DC brings abundance, luck, and opportunities to relationships and partnerships. This could feel like a place with a lot of options dating-wise.
7th House stellium in a birth chart or relocated birth chart: A stellium occurs when there are three or more planets in the same sign or house placement in a birth chart. Stelliums tend to bring a lot of energy and focus to the areas of life associated with a birth chart house. In this case, it would highlight love, romance, and partnerships.
I’ve found a lot of these indicators to be true for many of the clients I’ve worked with!
